Job Description
This individual will have a proven track record of success in supporting the development and/or construction of utility scale solar and/or other renewable energy projects. The candidate will work closely in supporting Developers and EPC Project Managers beginning with site origination through the development and construction lifecycle. The candidate will be assuming responsibility for but not limited to site evaluation, interconnection applications, vendor management, environmental diligence, stakeholder management, permitting execution, project schedules, project budgets, site visits, and project payment support, for utility scale solar projects in ISONE, NYISO, and PJM. This will include working with both internal and external resources including development and EPC partners to reach project milestones. The Associate Project Manager will report to the EVP of Operations, Generation.
Responsibilities
- Support the advancement of greenfield and acquisition development opportunities.
- Supporting the Development and EPC Teams in meeting annual business plan targets on time and on budget.
- Conduct independent sites visits to assess project viability and risk assessment.
- Manage landowner relationships.
- Conduct pre-aquisition project due diligence.
- Coordinate interconnection, environmental diligence, permitting and other project development activities with external resources.
- Represent CleanChoice at local, county, and state level permitting meetings/public hearings and with other community stakeholders.
- Create and maintain library of interconnection and regulatory requirements and processes for active markets.
- Create and submit compliance reporting for active project contracts and awards.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to file interconnection applications for new projects.
- Support EPC Project Management at construction meetings.
- Support Development and EPC contract management and reporting.
- Support Development in preparing and managing project schedules and budgets, clearly communicating reasonable milestone dates.
- Coordinate proposals, work orders and invoice review with consultants and vendors.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams including Greenfield Siting, FP&A, Project Finance, and Legal.
- Maintain accurate and up to date project files and records for the Development and EPC teams.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant field (i.e. technical, business, science).
- 1-3 years of relevant utility or community solar, wind or renewable development or EPC experience.
- Demonstrated achievements in project development or EPC support activities.
- Effective organizational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and effectively work within multi-disciplinary project teams, establishing sound relationships and work efficiently and courtesy with stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in geographically dispersed environments.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs, ArcGIS or cloud based geospatial analysis experience and solar modeling software experience a plus.
Travel
- 25% - 50% Travel depending on project needs
Compensation
- This position offers an annual base salary range of $115,000.00 - $130,000.00, an incentive plan, and a robust benefits package.
